European Union Regulations
Road safety is lost in EU Regulations with many organisations depending on donations or registered as charities. During the past 30 years many of these Organisations are backed, funded or supported by the European Union and have received HRH Prince Michael Awards while road fatalities continue. Some of these organisations are as follows: EuroRAP, iRAP RSF, ANWB, ADAC, PACTS, AA, RAC, IAM, Roadsafe, FTA, RHA, CIHT, FIA, RoSPA and Euro NCAP
Euro NCAP was established by TRL 20 years ago in 1997 and promoted by the RSA in 2017. Euro NCAP claim to have saved 15,000 lives on UK roads and more than 78,000 lives in Europe, published 630 safety ratings, deliberately crashed 1,800 cars and spent over 160 million Euro making cars safer, but these statistics do not appear to stand up to scrutiny, as
In 2016, according to the Department for Transport in Great Britain there were 1,800 road deaths or 68 more than the 1,732 recorded in 2015. In 2016, according to the Garda web page there were 188 road deaths in Ireland or 25 more than the 162 recorded in 2012 and 2015, while fatalities have increased again in 2017.
- Similar to RoSPA EuroNCAP have not researched the Highway Code Stopping Distances
- TRL since 1933 and Euro ENCAP since 1997 have misled the RSA, rule makers and others worldwide
