7.TRL + Report 1004

The Transport Research Laboratory TRL

On 08 09 2008, Rosemary Hill, confirmed TRL is unable to locate the stopping formula and referred me to the Road Safety Authority and on 20 01 2009, Sarah Bailey at TRL UK, suggested that I contact the Department for Transport as they are responsible for all policy and procedures relating to transport.

  • TRL uses the incorrect 1946 Highway Code and 1981 TRL 1004 stopping formulas.

The Transport Research Laboratory TRL established in 1933, is a subsidiary of the Transport Research Foundation (TRF), a non-profit company that has won eight Prince Michael Awards.

TRL is the source and provides the RSA with the 1946 Highway Code stopping formula and referred me to the RSA, while providing the Gardai with the 1981 TRL 1004 formula while Gardai referred me to the RSA.
