Press Release– The End of the Transport Research Laboratory TRL.

Road crashes investigated by Police since 1869, continue in 2025 because of a Stopping Mistake made by the UK Government owned Transport Research Laboratory TRL on 31 07 1946.

My research of crashes is outlined at drivingscorecard.com and I invite TRL and their 1,000 clients including 145 Governments worldwide to accept or disprove my findings by demonstration.

TRL, incorrectly designed the Highway Code and Rules of the Road Stopping Distances for one-way road emergency braking standard after 0.67 seconds driver Reaction Time.

Having made this discovery, the UK Government representative referred me to the USA, while TRL and Police referred me to the Road Safety Authority RSA who referred me to TRL.

TRL has published over 4,000 Reference Books many of which have conflicting information and were used by the Irish Government Strategies and Government Organisations since 1946.

On 31 07 2018 @ 14:10, I brought my research discovery to the attention TRL representatives and Robert Wallis the TRL CEO, who resigned on 08 07 2019, without responding.

In 2025 TRL representatives offered to discuss current stopping research with me, an offer which I rejected as I want the original 1946 TRL mistake corrected with a view to eliminating crashes.

The Transport Research Laboratory Name Change in 2025 – Why?

On 05 03 2025, Paul Campion, CEO of TRL, welcomed the partnership with Blandford Capital, highlighting its potential to enhance the company’s ability to support key clients.

On 17 04 2025: A Special Resolution to change the name of the Transport Research Laboratory TRL Limited, Company No: 03562621, to THIRLMERE DORMANT 1 LTD, was agreed and passed.

On 15 10 2025:  The Registered address of TRL at Crownthorne House, Nine Mile Ride, Workingham, Berkshire RG403GA changed to Unit 19, the Business Centre, Molly Millars Lane, Workingham RG41 2QY.

On 18 11 2025: the Gazette Notice on the UK Government Register of Businesses announced the Dissolution of THIRLMERE DORMANT 1 LTD, Company Reg, No: 03562621.

In 2026 TRL, established and owned by the UK Government in 1933, privatised in 1996, with the name changed and dissolved in 2025, remains the source of the RSA and Garda different Stopping Distances.

What now for TRLs 4,000 plus Reference Books and Research.
