Between 2017 and 2024, Gardai who were misled by the Transport Research Laboratory TRL on Stopping Distances, since 1946, misled the Policing Authority with 93 Monthly Reports.
The Financial and Legal Consequences are now serious for TRL and the Garda National Traffic Roads Policing Bureau GNRPB due to the raft of claims that may follow from the next of kin of those fatally injured on the roads due to TRLs Stopping Mistake.
